This week has really been fun. I am so glad that I didn't have to work so that I could enjoy this time with family and making great memories. I know Katelynn won't remember anything but I know that she has had a great time with all of her cousins this week. She has just been in awe of everybody around her.
Sunday Becca came into town with her hubby Chet and three kids Owen, Lily and Taylor. When we first got to my parents house Taylor who is seven months was sitting on the floor the little peanut that she is just mouthing away. Eating the air. She was so freaking cute. Katelynn is such a giant compared to her. Katelynn amazes me sometimes at how big she is compared to others. We ate tri-tip and all sorts of other food and just enjoyed each others company.

Monday was at Sarah's house and park day. The weather was so strange all day. We didn't know if it was going to rain or be sunny. Katelynn and I made it over to Sarah's at noon, at some lunch, which took FOREVER for Katelynn to eat. She is really just wanting to feed herself and not have pureed stuff anymore. I just have to figure out what to feed her. We got everyone ready and went to the park. While we were there we were rained on and then sun was shining. It wasn't a downpour, just a sprinkle. Katelynn and I went on the teeter-totter with Becca and Owen, and she went swinging which she thought was great and went down the slide a few times. She was having a great time just watching everyone and everything. The ducks were fed and we were frozen so it was time to go home and have some Me and Ed's Pizza. We hung out at Sarah's until about 7 and then went home.

Tuesday was at our house and zoo day. The weather was still questionable but it never did rain. We had lunch here had total CHAOS! I don't think that I was really ready for all the noise that three four year olds make and their uncles and dad's can make too. Cocoa and Bruno were a hit and miss. Jesse and Owen thought that they were totally awesome and just ran around the back yard screaming in joy. Chasing and being chased by the dogs. Max and Lily were TOTALLY freaked out by the dogs. Max I don't think stepped outside at all. Lily tried twice but since the dogs are 100lbs and 80lbs coming up to a 30lbs girl is a little scary and they are the same height as her. All that they did was come up and sniff her and she screamed and cried like they had tore off her hand. Which they would never do unless you deserved it. Damien was a little unsure of the dogs but after watching Owen and Jesse survive them he braved it out there and lived to tell about it.

Side note: Damien is such a great cousin. He is 11 and the oldest by 7 years but you would never know it. He just gets in there and plays with Max, Jesse, and Owen like they are all the same age. Then, he'll turn around and play with Katelynn and Taylor keeping them entertained, holding them and keeping them out of things. Then, he'll sit and watch video games and be totally enthralled by them. He is a very versatile kid.
For dinner we had enchilada's, rice, salsa and guacamole. Which were all homemade. Sarah, here is the recipe for the salsa. Pioneer Woman Restaurant Style Salsa Just to let everyone know be careful with the cumin. It can ruin the salsa. Just dash it in until you are happy with it, or all you will taste is cumin and not salsa.
After dinner there was more CHAOS! Really, lets just say this: Nerf guns, pillows, screaming, laughter, a tent made with all the toys and books we own, four little boys and three big boys in one tiny little living room. Pillows were being thrown, nerf balls were being thrown, kids were falling out of laughter left and right. And then there was Katelynn, Lily and Taylor that were watching with intrigue but wouldn't get involved. Taylor stayed in the safety of her parents arms and Lily and Katelynn played with the pop up pals. All Sarah, Becca, and I did was zone out of the chaos to our own little quite lands. No one was hurt just Jesse's feelings when he couldn't finish the tent he had been so patiently building all evening. Then everyone went home and I sat in quite and loved it.
Wednesday we all had a break, we love each other and all but our kids were in desperate need of naps and good moods since it was picture day. So, we met at the park and Beth, Ben's sister came and took some wonderful pictures for us. Afterwards Sarah, Becca, our mom and I went out to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes. It was nice to be with them without screaming kids. Becca said she didn't want to be home until after 8pm so we hung out and talked until Becca's kids were for sure in bed. So, we stopped at my parents and dropped off our mom and picked up some coupons for some cheap candy at Rite Aid. Sarah has made us into crazy little couponers. There are quite a few sweet little deals out there. So, at Rite Aide we go in a giggle our entire way through the store. I picked up four king size candies for $0.78 and we are SLOWLY eating them.
Here we all are

Thursday we went to my parents for a little bit. It was a great sun shiny day so we we able to all be outside. we went on a walk to pay my rent and the kids enjoyed the outside. It was Becca and Chet's date night so we had a night at home which was nice since we are still not quite moved in yet.

Friday was our last full day together so Becca and I started it out by checking out Target for some clothes for the chillin's and then we met up with Sarah at another Target and then we went to my parents house for the afternoon. We had dinner at our house again and had hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings. We had bacon but no cheese. They tasted so great that we made some more for dinner on Saturday! What was very surprising to Ben and I was how good the bacon tasted. We usually aren't ones for pork bacon but we had Ben picked some up at Costco after, Chet mentioned it, that was pre-cooked and they are totally awesome. So much better than any bacon burgers that I get from any resturant. By the way is it really nice to be around the corner from Costco!

Friday night was also Boys night in. They hung out here and played different video games. Chet left at about 11:30, Mike and Damien were here until midnight and Ben somehow stayed up until 3am, we have an agreement though, he has to be up by 8 no matter what time he goes to bed, he is usually up with us since Katelynn isn't quite. She is up by 7am.
Saturday morning we went over and said our goodbyes and wished everyone well. they had a long trip ahead of them back to Idaho. It was so great to see them and to have everyone together. It was really nice to be so much closer to everyone and not have to drive add an hour of driving time to everything we wanted to do.
