From our blog to Yours

I guess work lifted the ban on blogspot so now I can post a little something from here when there is down time. Since it is Friday it is time for "From our blog to Yours" I like this weeks prompt: I want everyone to blog about their dream vacation spot. Where would you go if money were no object and there was a neverending supply of gas?"

I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. Ben doesn't quite have that same dream as me. He thinks that it is all beaches and he would rather go to the mountians over the beach anyday, but sometimes I should get my way, he seems to get his way more often that not. Yes, I know there are plenty of mountians there that he could enjoy it is just hard for him to get past that. I would really love to go there and see some clear blue oceans and not be worried that something might get me since I can't see them when we go to the beaches in Cali. One day I will get there, with or with out him :)

Type at you all later.

What's Up

I am really trying to do this whole blog thing better, I guess I really shouldn't complain since it isn't Saturday night when I am posting this. So, what have we been up too? Some fun.
Memorial Day weekend was of course the highlight of the week. Friday we went down to LA and spent the whole weekend with Caleb, Heather, Jackson, Eden, Jonah, Jennifer and Micah. We really did have a good time. Friday night on our way down we stopped in Tulare at the oulets and I went shopping at Van Huessen for their 40% off Memorial Day Sale, I found three shirts and a skirt, I was pumped. We got to LA at about 8 and stayed with Micah and Jennifer.
Saturday we went to Manhattan Beach where Ben was wanting to go to a REI garage sale and when we got there it ended up being cancelled, but it was okay, we still did some sale shopping and then went to the beach for about a half hour. It was cold and windy so we didn't want to stay too long, but of course I did get some pictures.

The Beach

Later we met up with Caleb and Heather and had dinner with them, without kids. The best part was dessert. We went to a homemade ice cream shoppe and I had chocolate caramel ice cream, I was in heaven. Caramel is definitally my weakness or lemon desserts.
When we were out with Micah and Jennifer we stopped by Fry's and got Mario Kart for the Wii. It is very fun and we all had a blast playing it, even if I did suck. We played alot of Wii throughout the weekend. Micah is now a pro Boxer on Wii sports. He played that game quite a bit, and I think that Wii just found a new buyer for the game console, they had been debating it, but with us bringing it down they were pretty much sold.
Sunday we had a great dinner made by Caleb and Heather. Eden was in rare form, I think I got about 100 pics of her, she kept on telling me to take her picture, and if you know her you know she hates to smile for the camera so I wasn't going to stop. Here are a couple of my Faves.

Jonah was of course as cute as usual.

With Mom having a Rootbeer Float made by Dad. He is their only kid that loves sweets the other two will have a couple spoonfuls and then they are done.

When we were saying goodbyes.

Monday we spent most of the morning at Caleb and Heather's hanging out and watching Ben and Caleb work a little on their house for some prep work to the addition. It was really nice to be with family and not to have too many plans. I worked the next couple of days and off today. And now for all the inquiring minds that want to know, we are not pregnant. We are (I am) trying to be patient.

From Our Blog 2 Yours

It's Friday so here it is: My blog challenge is to find kits in the shoppe with either red, white and blue (does not have to be all in the same kit) or with Stars!

Here is what I found:
Here’ red white and blue:
My Blue Valentine

And here’s the Stars:
I love this Christmas kit by Dani
Hang a Shining Star

I just noticed it has red white and blue too.

Catching up

Why does it take me all week to post? I don't know, life happens. Anyways... Beth "Tagged" me so I guess I'll do this thing.

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

We shall see where I get.

1. I have never watched American Idol. I know enough about it from others to know that David Cook won this year and the David A. was a member of the LDS church.

2. Along the same lines as 1, we do not have television reception of any sort. No cable no basic channels, everything I hear about comes from work when the news is on or from others telling me, "Did you hear about this...?"

3. Books are dangerous for me. If it half way keeps my attentionI will not be of any use to anyone else until I am finished. It was pretty bad when I was going through Harry Potter. I like Nicholas Sparks' books, they are romantic and very easy to read in a short amount of time. This week though I found this series called Twilight. I have heard quite a bit about it but never stopped to read it until Tuesday. Let's just say if I had kids they would be running around like naked little Indians until I finished. I don't have the other two books but I am hesitant to get them because I will be enveloped in the book greatly, I know that I will read them, not sure when. This was also why I didn't blog on Tuesday.

4. I hate cleaning floors. Vacuumming, sweeping, mopping whatever it is I hate to do it. I did have to vacuumm today though, it sucked (HAHA)

5. I like to finish things before I start something new.

6. We went and saw Narnia this weekend and really liked it. It was nice not having to worry about any sexual scenes that would appear, since there were none.

7. I think I only have a couple of Easter 2007 LO's left. You thought that it would never end.

The People I tag are at the side of my blog.

Becca
Erin
Amy
I don't know who else to tag that reads my blog.

Erin I know that you have been busy this week with Braxton, but I would still love to see a piture. I hope that everything is going well with him.

I am four point shy of reaching the 25 point needed for 40% off at The Sweet Shoppe. Woo Hoo, I get to go shopping soon.

This was pretty much our week too in a nut shell. Hope that everyone is doing well. Type at you all later.

Where am I?

I guess I will just do a run down of my week since it was so different. That is why I haven't been here. Last Sat and Sun I worked. Mon and Tues when I was off Ben was home sick he might have had the same thing Erin had who knows, I didn't get it though. Monday night I went over to my parents house for our little Mother's Day Celebration. It was quite and simple. Just perfect. On Tuesday I did get one family of Visiting Teaching done which was nice. It really is just so hard to do what I want and need to do when Ben is home, he usually wants me to be wherever he is when he is home. So, the house is pretty well thrashed. I worked again on Wed and Thursday.

Thursday night I met Ben in town to do some stuff after work and on the way home the Nissan started over heating. All of the radiator Fluid had leaked out. so here we were at nine o'clock at night having to figure out how to get this thing home. It wasn't as bad as I thought, Ben asked a house for some water and we were able to put some fluid in the engine to get home. So, that meant that on Friday we had to take the car in to get it checked out. A couple of hoses had to be replaced and the water pump and some hoses for the power stearing. This car has really been good to us we have had it for probably 10 years now. It was the car my parents bought me when I was a senior in high school it is now 13 years old and really hasn't given us too much trouble. I hope I didn't just jinx us.

During the day on Friday we spent three hours cleaning the garage. It looks so nice now. All of the scout stuff isn't all over the floor and in the way it is all put away in tupperware. It is so nice to have the garage back. Friday night Jade, a friend from church Ben's parents and Nate, Ben's friend, came out and hung out for a few hours. Ben's parents left at nine and then we just talked and played Wii until midnight. It was so much fun. I hope we can get Jade and her hubby out again soon. Her hubby was working last night so she came by herself.

Today was the YW/YM temple trip so we did that this morning and as soon as I finish typing this I am out to get my haircut and we might go see Narnia. I hope all is well with everyone. Remember the LO from this post. Well, I really hated it so I redid it the next day but haven't shown you the redo. Here it is. I think this one is much better.

Anyways, type at you all later.

This Little Piggy of Mine

Hehehe! I love the title. I've been missing this week, I know Erin was hoping I might miss it all together. LOL! Not going to happen. I guess I as hoping for something exciting to happen this week. That still hasn't happened either. All that happened was our Little Piggy was emptied. We bought Piggy, I would say about four years ago and have been filling her up ever so slowly with silver coins. Today, though was the fateful day when we counted her. We haven't been able to fit anything in her for a couple of weeks but we were tring to figure out what we were going to do with her. We had already decided that we were going to keep the change as our emergency prepardness loose change, money. We finally decided that we were going to count her, put the change in rolls, and then refill Piggy. I thought that we were going to have between 50-100. I couldn't believe it, Piggy held $160.30. Tomorrow I will get the rolls and we will start refilling her. As you can guess Ben came up with her name, his old dog was named Pooches and the Piggy Bank is Piggy, not too original but whatever. Here is Piggy in all her washed and dried glory. She even does Tricks!! Thanks to my wonderful helper Ben for Posing Piggy for this Photo shoot:)

In other news, there ain't much else. It is in the 80's here and is really nice. I washed the Subaru this morning it was pretty disgusting. There was probably 1,000 bugs on the windshield alone. It is getting to that time of the year when you drive down North you hear the pitter patter of Splating Bugs all over the Windshield. Last year it was so disgusting. Sorry, life isn't too exciting around here right now.

Another Quiz

What Your Latte Says About You

You don't treat yourself very often. You find that indulging doesn't jibe with your very disciplined life.

You can be quite silly at times, but you know when to buckle down and be serious.

You have a good deal of energy, but you pace yourself. You never burn out too fast.

You have a healthy relationship with caffeine. You're definitely not dependent on it.

You are a child at heart, and you don't ever miss the opportunity to do something playful.

You are sophisticated and daring, but you are never snobby.

This was quite interesting to do since I don't even drink latte's but I just filled it out with what I thought looked best and it was pretty true!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

After two weeks of picking weeds I am finally done. Now I just have to keep up with it and that is the total hard part. The Garden is also coming around nicely. I thinned out the seedlings today and hopefully we will get some veggies soon.
