30 week appointment...are you sure that isn't an Alien

I went to my 30 week appointment this week and everything was just fine. Gained 2 pounds in 3 weeks, his heart rate is in the 140s still, my glucose test was fine that was 109. The nurse checked his position and seems to think that he is head down already, now he just needs to stay that way for a few weeks. Next appointment is in 2 weeks.
That night he was just kicking away as Ben and I were laying down to go to bed. I got Ben's hand and he kicked right where Ben's hand was. Ben had a hard time feeling Katelynn too because he thought that it was just weird that there is something growing and moving inside of me.
Baby Boy is getting alot stronger. He pushes and kicks alot and makes me do a belly dance. I really don't think Katelynn moved this much. He's had the hiccups quite a few times now, actually he's having some now as I type this. I haven't had any Braxton Hicks, just leg cramps in the middle of the night that are getting more frequent. I am also TIRED. Where is that burst of energy that you get at the end, because I need it.

Tara is 10

A few weekends ago we celebrated Tara's 10th Birthday. Beth and Kevin had a pool party for her at their neighbor's house (Ever since we went there Ben has wished he was neighbors with them too, he loved their pool.) It is funny to think that I first started dating Ben when Tara was born. I remember holding her and wondering if I was going to be apart of her life or not.
We had a great time at the party, there was plenty of food and fun. Of, course Katelynn was quite the entertainment for all and kept Ben and I on our toes the entire time.

Didn't quite like how close Katelynn was to the aftershock of the Cannonball. Needless to say Ben didn't jump in again unless I was with her.

The Birthday Girl

We have known for a while that Katelynn does not have a fear of water. Taking her to the beach last summer and she just walked right in made me realize that. So, being at a built in pool for the first time this summer I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, she wanted in as soon as she saw the pool. She was jumping in to Ben and I, sometimes when we weren't ready for her to jump to us. She soon saw all the other kids jumping in to pool on the diving board and wanted to do that too. So, she followed them to the line, got on the diving board and jumped (walked) in Ben was ready to catch her. Ben didn't push her to do it she came up with the idea herself. She did that at least five or six times.

I only had to save Katelynn once. She went into the pool without Ben and I or any adult in the water, we were all eating. I was right behind her trying to grab her from getting into the pool and she just walked in the shallow end on at the steps. My fearless little girl.

Scrapbooking

Just in case anyone was wondering if I still did scrapbook. I do and have been trying to get a few things done before the little man comes, which by the way is in less than 64 days. Here's a few Layouts I have done this past month.

1st Ponytail, 1st Mohawk

Read to Me, I love how this page turned out.

29 weeks and other updates

29 Weeks
Time is going faster and faster and I am getting slower and slower. I am getting more uncomfortable and unable to move as easily as before. Baby Boy is getting bigger and bigger. He isn't kicking as fast anymore. He is pushing and stretching since his is now starting to run out of room.
I had a doctor's appointment last week and in 4 weeks I had gained 1 pound for a total of 12 pounds so far. I was pretty shocked by that. I know the massive weight gains are coming though. Everything looks great. My Blood pressure is amazingly low, as usual. His heart beat is in the 140's. I go back in another week and start the every two week visits.
We got a dresser for Katelynn and Baby Boy to share so we have Katelynn's old dresser that we are going to sell. It is nice to have the dresser so that I can separate their clothes and better see what I have for him.

Nesting
The carpet is now completely cleaned. That was the biggest job to get done. The bedroom closets are cleaned out. Now to work on the other closets. I try and do a little bit each day so that it won't be too over whelming.

The Garden
The garden has exploded since I took these pictures. Since the heat has came things are really starting to grow. I haven't seen any tomato buds yet but there are 3 inch zucchini's. The cucumber plant is huge and the green pepper's are slowly growing. I just have to check on it every few days to make sure things don't get out of control.

Phone Calls

Yesterday we cleaned the floors in the family room. Ben moved all the furniture into the dining area and so Katelynn had a huge Jungle Gym to play in. It also meant she could reach onto the Kitchen counter and get everything that was out of her reach before. I moved everything away and got the floors cleaned. Ben at some point moved the "House Phone" back to where Katelynn could reach it with her Jungle Gym. We were getting ready to move the furniture back into the front room when Ben got a phone call... from Katelynn. I went into the dining room and there she was standing on the end table with the phone up to her ear. Silly girl. She was very upset that I took the "hone" away.

Today I had to work. I called to check in on Ben and Katelynn and see what they were up to. Ben gave Katelynn the phone and she sounded surprised that I was on the phone.
She said, "Mommy?"
"Yes, Katelynn, it's mommy. I love you."
"I wa you"
"Ahhh, I miss you."
"Ahhh." She hugs the phone and gives it a kiss.
I gave her a kiss over the phone.

This was our first real conversation over the phone. She usually just plays with the phone and doesn't realize that I am trying to talk to her and Ben. My little cutie pie.

Beater Licking...good times

Katelynn knows the drill when I am making anything with the mixer. She has to have a chair to see what is going on. If there isn't a chair she will start whining and then point to the floor saying "seet down" to where the chair should be. She will then start reaching for her bib so that she will be ready to lick the beater when I am finished mixing. She is pretty impatient about waiting for the beater but we somehow make it through.
Today I made some brownies from the recipe on Our Best Bites blog that was posted today (way too sweet in the end). Katelynn had her chair and bib and and beater. She was in Heaven. She disappeared while I was getting things into the oven and when I found her this is what she looked like...

I love her!

Memorial Day

So, after spending a good amount of time at my parents house Memorial Day Weekend. We ended the weekend by having a BBQ at their house on Monday. There was so much food! We had watermelon, potato salad, Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and dip, corn on the cob, and last but not least my mom's Strawberry Pie. Ben and Mike were very upset that they weren't able to fit all of the food onto one plate, so they HAD to go back for seconds, just so they could get firsts! It was a great way to end the weekend!

Katelynn LOVES her cousins Max "Mac" and Jesse and asks daily about them

These two pictures are funny just because a few months ago I took 5 year old pictures of Max and Jesse and there was a dog on the other side of the fence they were scared of coming through the fence, so the pictures didn't turn out great. Here are two great pictures of them with Coco and Bruno in the background. Silly boys!

We had finished dinner and were all sitting outside, next thing I know Katelynn had a piece of Watermelon. She had seen the watermelon on the kitchen counter reached into the bowl and helped herself to a piece. Luckily without it falling off the counter.
