Long time no speak

Last weekend was Matthew's baby blessing. We were there for a VERY short time since I had to work Sat and Ben wanted to come back Sun night. But it was a good thing we came back since the route to get home was closed the next morning because of snow and high wind. It was nice spend time with family and we will be doing this again soon. Here are a couple of pics that I enjoyed.

Jennifer used this one for the birth announcement

I thought that this one was just gorgeous of them together.

All the cousins LOVE their Uncle Ben. I usually am telling Ben to keep things under control and he always tells me that it isn't his fault. They're the ones that are getting excited. Of course, you don't see Ben running around the table and hiding behind the furniture. This is why they all love him. I hope that things don't change all that much after Katelynn comes. They also had some Wheel Barrel time with Uncle Kevin.

Friday night I did some scrapbooking and FINISHED 2007!! WOO HOO!! I somehow got another photobook coupon and I decided that I would finish 2007 with it. The deadline was the 28th so I had a week to spare. So now I can get back to working on my pregnancy book and start 2008.

I had Ben do my four week tummy pic for me and I am not very pleased with how I look but we get the general idea. So, this is me at 26 weeks. Katelynn is moving more than ever. Punching and kicking are a favorite daily activity. Rolling is getting to be a bigger activity. Last night she rolled while I was lying down for bed calmly talking with Ben, then all of a sudden she did her biggest roll yet and I called out, from surprise, and I freaked Ben out, well she freaked me out too.

I really can't say enough how much time is flying. And I know it isn't going to be any slower. April 16th is my last day for working and it is exciting and scary at the same time.

Ben's Grandma passed away yesterday and they are doing the burial on Thursday without any graveside ceremony and then the memorial service on March 4th. We won't be home for the burial but we hope that we will have a burial site dedication tomorrow. I hope she is at peace now it is wonderful to know that she is in a much better place. I hope to talk to you all soon.

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope today is a sweet day for everyone. And for my sweetheart I hope he knows how much I love him.

This was in Nauvoo when we first got there. I love everything about this picture, the lighting the Mississippi in the background and the man in the picture. I know he probably won't read this, he has never comes to my blog, but I truly and deeply do love him. We have been married for just under 7 years and time has flown. There really isn't a dull moment with Ben. I know that he is going to be a great father and that Katelynn already has him wrapped around his finger. Every little girl he sees he will tell me about and talk about how Katelynn will be all cutsie too. He has been my best friend for all these years. He tells me he loves me at least 80 times a day and I know each one is true. He makes me feel special everyday. Neither one of us are perfect and that is why I love him. He calls me at least 3 times a day when I am at work and if he doesn't call me I get worried. One time a co-worker asked if everything was okay because the only reason she could see him calling so much was because we were having marital problems. Nope, he just loves me and wants to be with me all the time. When I went to Beth's yesterday she asked if Ben would be over after work, of course he would be, I am there, he will be there. She laughed and said, I knew that but I had to ask anyways.

To all the other loves of my life:
Family Friends and strangers who read this and don't tell me they do (don't worry, I do the same thing) Thank You for everything you do and are in my life. I wouldn't be who I am today without you.

Type at you all later.

It's Raining, It's Pouring

and boy was I snoring. I love it when I get to be home on days like this. My day of vegging has begun. I guess it won't quite be vegging since there are numerous things I want to do today. I have already made my bed and ate breatfast. I woke up at 8 but didn't roll out until 8:30. Whenever I do that I think to myself, when Katelynn's here I so won't be able to lay here undisturbed for any amount of time.

I went and did the Glucose test on Wed and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, don't get me wrong drinking pure sugar does leave a nasty taste in your mouth. I just hope I pass it, I don't want to have to change my diet, but then again, that might be a very good thing for me. I had the lemon lime and it wasn't ice cold but I could see how cold does make it better.

I went registering on Sat with Sarah and my mom and it took about 2 hours. We were there with quite a few other moms and you could hear the scanners beeping all around the store. I think I got everything, but I am sure I missed something.

Rememeber when I told you about the 23 weeker when I was 23 weeks. The baby isn't doing too good. There was also a 24 weeker when I was 24 weeks that isn't doing good either. I did expect it, these poor little guys are really so small and so underdeveloped it is really hard to make it in this world. We try to make a womb, but it isn't anything near what it should be.

Yesterday I had a little scrapbooking time with Beth. I took my stuff over to her house and finished two and a half Layouts. I am so almost done with 2007. I am at Ben's Birthday. I have a couple more I want to do then I can move on. I can't wait. It is just so hard to sit down and scrap. I have a million things I am thinking about doing especially if I am home. Next Friday though I have another scrapbooking thing that I am doing so I should get 2007 done by then or before.

I also went with Ben and Beth to visit Grandma Gert last night. She is their Dad's Mom. She is in the hospital and might not make it too much longer. She is 87 and they have diagnosed her with Leukemia and Pneumonia. Doing any treatments for the Leukemia is out of the question really since she wouldn't be able to handle them phyically. She looked very pale and very fragile. I hope she can at least make it out of the hospital so she can be at home and not have to die in the hospital. We have often tried and usually failed at our visiting attempts with her, I make the excuse of her cats, I am so allergic to cats I am usually going beeserk after 30 min to an hour. Ben has a better record. He'll stop by during work or when he is asked too. I just want everything to be peaceful for her.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day and a great weekend. Type at you all later.

PS Did everyone see?? We are down to double digits until Katelynn arrives. 95 and counting.

Sneak Peek

Work has REALLY started to freak me out. Before it was just work and I felt bad for some of the kids and some kids went home great. Now it is starting to hit me closer and closer. I know that I had my detailed ultrasound at 19 weeks with the best tech at work, but still do they really see all the problems then? Wouldn't one later be better, When they are more developed? So, I asked another tech at work if I could get a quick sneak peek and have some relief. I don't think people outside of my profession really understand how extremely lucky it is to have a normal healthy baby, but then only 1% of babies really need the NICU for help. Here is a random sampling for things I see at work:

intestines outside of the belly, 22 week gestation babies, spines outside the spinal column, one eyeball with multiple other problems, intestines not connecting to your bum, no brain, holes in the brain, so many syndromes that downs syndrome it the best one to have (in my opinion). Really and truly Heavenly Father is amazing for putting together all of these complex bodies of ours. It truly amazes me of all the possibilities that can go wrong and when it does go wrong most of the time medicine can fix it but others it can only be fixed by Heavenly Father.

So I got my sneak peek on Wed to ease my mind, and it did, she is still perfect and I will let that be.

This is the best profile I have of her and I have been looking at it alot. I don't think I will get another ultrasound unless we need one to determine size. (She ain't going to be a peanut, maybe a walnut). Did I tell you guys that I looked in our baby books and found out that I was 9 lbs 1 oz and 22 in Ben was 9 lb 2 oz and 22.5 in. She'll be healthy. I better go I will type at you all later.

This weeks pet peeves

I guess they all happened on Monday only but they were still annoying. I went to get a warranty service on the Subaru and then went to Sarah's to wait for it to be done. They said it would be quick and I would be able to make it to my 10 am dentist Appt. So, I took their courtesy shuttle over to Sarah's and waited. At 9 they called and said it was ready and that I could come and pick it up. I asked for them to call for the shuttle to come and get me. at 9:40 they still hadn't called to get me, so I had to have Sarah take me over to the dealership to get the car. I left and went to my Dentist appt at 11 the shuttle guy called and asked if I was ready to be picked up. What the Heck!?!?! I already have my car and do you really think that I was going to wait 2 hours for you to get me when my car is ready!!! So, I told him I already got my car. He then asked me if I needed to pick up my car!?!!? Were you listening, I already picked up my car and have moved on. No, I don't need a ride!! So, that was pet peeve one.

So, I went to Target to pick up something that I got on clearance at another Target. I put it in my cart and notice that it isn't 20.29, it is 28.99. So, I go up to the checkout and see it that is right and she said that They are the last store in town that clearances out and they don't price match their own store. Another, What the Heck!?!?!? Why don't you price match your own store, this makes no sense. So I had to have my mom go and pick it up at the original store. I wasn't going to pay full price when I knew I could get it for less. So, I guess the Target at Clovis and Shaw are the first to clearance, in case you were wondering.

I had another prenatal appt yesterday and everything was fine, nothing exciting. Her Heart Rate was 150's which is great. I got my prescription slip for the glucose tolerance test and so I will do that next week. I can't eat anything after midnight so I have to go first thing in the morning, I guess I need to find a close lab that does that. I usually go to work to get my labs drawn, but that would be too far to drive with nothing in my stomach. Does anyone know a closer lab that will do that test? There is that Quest Diagnostics in town, but I don't know if they do it.

Tomorrow Sarah, my mom and I are going to get me registered. Wish me luck. I hope that it goes well. There is so much stuff at babies r us I can't believe it. So, tomorrow night if you are bored you can check out my registry. I guess I better go. I have work to finish. Type at you all later.
