To do List

I have to do some things today and this is one of them. I think it has already been a good day. Last night I decided that I want to make Tina's Sticky Buns for breakfast and what is so wonderful about them is you can get them ready the night before and I also learned about my ovens delay timer. I had been wanting to use it but I didn't want to delay something and then we miss dinner or something totally throws off the schedule. Anyways I got them ready last night and set the oven and hoped that everything would work in the morning. And guess what It DID!!! Here is the recipe for all of your viewing pleasure too

Tina's Sticky Buns
10-15 Frozen Dinner Rolls
1 lg package Cook and Serve Vanilla Pudding Mix
1 stick butter
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
chopped Nuts of your choosing(optional)

Place Frozen Dinner rolls in Bundt Pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle rolls with package of pudding and nuts. Combine butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in small sauce pan and melt together. Pour over rolls. Turn rolls to cover with sauce. Let rise overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden. Let cool for 5 min. Ease rolls from pan sides. Flip onto large plate. Enjoy!

Another Week...

...has gone too fast. I can't believe it is Friday again. It has been a crazy week though. It started Saturday, ben went mountain Biking at 12 and called me at 3, I knew that was too quick of a ride, he is usually out until dark. He fell, the front tire slipped out in front of him when he was turning and he caught himself with his left arm and felt a couple of pops. So, he was headed to the ER. I met him there and he was hurting but no blood. X-rays were taken and nothing was broken which was a relief. A few Ibuprofen and Vicodens later we were going home. He laid low Sunday and it was a nice thing that Monday was a holiday.

It was really nice for me to have him home on Monday, we did quite a few errands. One of which was stopping by La-z Boy and figuring out where the recliner was. We showed up and they told us they were unloading the truck and we will see if the chair is on it. While we were waiting we found out that Monday was their last day to be open and so it was a really good thing that we went over there. So, we were either going to get our chair or our money back, I was really hoping for the chair and that is what we got. We picked it up and had to recline it in order to get it in the Subaru. It was totally not the color that I thought it was going to be. When you hear the color is Oregano you think Green, well I got brown. I am okay with it though I like this color better. The green they had in the store was Green speckled and I liked the chair but not the color that much. So, I was pleasantly surprised.

Ben stayed home Tuesday becasue of his arm and them was ready to go to work Wed when Wed morning he woke up at 2:30 and proceeded to wake me up at 3:00 until 4:00 Hacking and coughing and miserable. Needless to say he didn't make it to work Wed because now he has a cold that we weren't prepared for, I had no meds for it. He did go to work Thurs and Fri though.

Thursday and Friday have been good days for me, I did a good deal of cleaning and washing. My next big project is going to be organizing the office and the back room. There is quite a bit of stuff in both rooms that we are not using or have not used that need to be taken care of, meaning: gotten rid of. There are some pants that I have been supposed to be fixing of Ben's for the past 2 years that I might actually do. I am also getting things organized to make a quilt for Katelynn I just need one more fabric. I have made one quilt and it was for Tara and I really love how it turned out, so I will probably use that design.

As for pregnancy related news everything is really going well. I can't complain. I am 23 weeks (5 months) and am surprised at how fast it is still going. Pretty soon that ticker over there is going to be double digits, that is crazy. I was talking to Ben on Monday saying that I was 23 weeks and we would be exactly 4 months from the due date on Tuesday and he stopped and said to me, "You're 5 months?!?! Man, time is going by fast." I just laughed, I guess telling him weeks all along he didn't know what month I was.

The bedding came yesterday and I love it. The burgandy in the web Pic is red in real life. It is just perfect. I will post a pic when we get the crib and dresser, but I am excited.

I was at work on Wed and a 23 weeker came in, so I had to go check it out. It is so totally weird. I didn't realize how big she would be right now, even though she is only a pound. I don't know if this one will make it. Most don't right now, they have massive bleeding problems and are just way too immature. It is crazy being able to have this perspective though because I am able now to see her for real. I will have Ben come in and see what a 28 weeker looks like when I am 28 weeks. Here's another picture for ya. This is at 22 weeks.

I hope all is well I will hopefully get some scrapbooking done today, I work the next couple of days. Talk to you all later.

Excited!!

I have to blame Kristen, a co-worker, for this she is due a couple of weeks before me and was looking at bedding yesterday at work and told me to check the site out. So I did, and I found one I loved and it was on clearance and I bought it. It is Cherry Blossom from Kidsline.

It comes with the valance, dust ruffel, bumper, two crib sheets, quilt, and diaper stacker. I also bought the rug. I think it is perfect, girly and sweet. I will get it next week maybe and it has a 90 day return policy and there was no shipping or tax. I am rationalizing, but it was a good deal. I just had to share it with you all. Type to you all later. (The room isn't those colors.)

Boring

This has been quite the lazy week we really haven't been out doing much. Ben has gotten into a movie watching mood so we have a stack of movie rentals. When we were at Wal Mart the other day we also checked out their $5 movies. Usually I can't find anything decent but this time we were lucky we found Ever After, Knights Tale, Family man, and Sleepless in Seattle. We have watched a couple of them and Ben has watched a few of his rentals (He went while I was working one day.)

I have worked on Katelynn's book some more. I am so excited to be able to start working on this now while for one I have time and second so that I can remember the details.

Yes, you can all be grossed out. That is the stick that I tested on, I didn't keep it I just took a picture of it. Anyways, I am thinking again that when I finish the book I will print two copies. One where I'll have it out for Katelynn and everyone to read and then the second to give in great condition when she gets married. But she may want the one she has been playing with all her life. We shall see what happens.

Today was the first day that I was able to catch her kicking as a bump on my belly. It has been very hard to sneak up on her. When ever I move she stops. So I was sneaky today and caught her in the act. I know more is to come but it was nice to see it the first time. I just hope Ben can see it soon too. I am really feeling great. I am just getting more tired again. Not as bad as in the beginning but it is getting harder to get through work. I think I have said that before, but it is true 5pm comes and I really want to take a nap. I don't have anything else so I hope all is well. Type at you all later.

Page 1 and 2

I have finished 2 pages of Katelynn's book. I hope to get some more done today.

I have to decide if I want to use all the same kit or use others. I will probably use others as using the same one after a few pages will drive me crazy. I hope you all are doing well. Type at you all later.

Hey

Saturday morning at 4:30 Ben woke up and went to REI for their used gear sale. Most things there are from 50-90% off. He went to one a few months ago and got a Yakima bike rack for 50 (reg 500). You really can't go into these with a list of what you want, you just go and grab and look when you think you got what you want. This time Ben spent 180 for all sorts of different things but his greatest find was a Yakima roof cargo carrier reg 450 for 10 bucks. One of these but all black:

I guess the nose of it got warped in shipping, but really you can't even tell and it works just fine, Ben was driving home on the freeway and said he didn't hear any "Chatter." I am excited, because I was wondering what will happen when we go camping with Katelynn, our car is already full to the brim without all of her stuff.

Last weekend Ben and I went down to LA for Joshua's Baby blessing. We just did a quick trip, we were gone for about 24 hours but for some reason it felt like we were gone the entire weekend. Saturday night we hung out with Caleb, Heather, Beth, Kevin, Micah and the Very pregnant Jennifer. Sunday morning at 4am Ben got a phone call from Micah, I was closest to the phone but had not idea how to answer it that early in the morning. The only reason he would be calling is it someone died or Jennifer went into labor. Jennifer was in labor. Her water broke at 1am and so Sunday morning Heather Beth and I said we would swing by after the blessing for a few minutes and give her a pep talk and a you can do it (She was very anxious about the delivery). Well, it was 12:30 and the blessing was over and we were waiting for heather to finish up a couple things before we went over. I get a call from Ben saying she had the baby. We were all shocked. So, we get over there about 1 and Micah asked us to stay with her while he went home and got some stuff and took the dogs out. So little Matthew was born on Joshua's blessing day. I didn't have my camera with me so Beth has all the pictures because she was a little bit smarter than I, I had no thought to bring it with me. Matthew was born at 7lbs and 18 inches. We came home that evening and had to go to work the next day.

I have to admit I haven't scrapbooked in weeks. I am dying to do some. I want to start some of the book for Katelynn. So, it is my goal to do some of that this weekend. I have a baby shower on Sat to go to and Church on Sunday so hopefully I can fit that in to my busy schedule.

I had an OB appointment yesterday and everything is going great. We heard the heartbeat for a minute at about 147 beats per minute. The show ended when she faded away and was finished with show and tell. I guess that she thought she cooperated for long enough and decided to check out another part of the womb. She has been getting stronger with her kicking. I was laying in bed this morning not wanting to get up, but she knew I was awake and started punching and kicking me out of bed.

Lastly, I went to Destination Maternity yesterday and found a couple of tops but the really exciting thing was I got a coupon for 25% off at Carter's and Osh Kosh when you spend $25. I can spend $25 very easily. So, when we go to LA in a couple of weeks we will be stopping at the outlets and checking out what they got. Woo-Hoo! I love Carter's. Anyways I hope to be posting some layout's this weekend. So, I will type at you all later.

Challenges are back

At the Sweet Shoppe. So the first blog challenge is to write your goals/resolutions for the year. Mine is to become more spiritually minded. I know the first thing to do to get there is to read my scriptures and pray daily. I also know that by doing this so many other things in my life will benefit even if I am not actively trying to change them. Putting Heavenly Father first in any one's life can and will truly help.

So, three days done, a lifetime to go.

Happy New Year!!

Welcome 2009!!
I hope everyone had a fun and safe night. We went over to Beth and Kevin's for a few hours and rang in New York's New Year!! LOL!! I don't think that any of us were up at midnight! Though at midnight in our neighborhood there was something squealing and some fireworks exploding. The fireworks woke me up at midnight along with, guess what else... THE POWER GOING OUT AGAIN! The horrible thing about this is that we have lived here for two years and I think that the power has went out at leas 15 times. That is truly ridiculous. The power was back by two am though. I know exciting stuff happening here.

We do need a Christmas update though.
Christmas Eve I worked but met up with Ben's family after and opened presents there.
Brynne opening a Disney Bingo Game from Jackson and Eden

Tara, Brynne, and Eden received a purse with different small things in it that I had picked up from Target's 1 dollar spot.

As Caleb and Heather have been remodeling their house Jonah has shown a love for tools, (He can turn on Caleb's table saw, so they have to remember to unplug it when not in use) so everyone got him different tools for Christmas and he loved it!

From Mary and RW each family got a turn crank emergency radio, Kevin turning the crank.

The next morning we got Katelynn's surprise and we had already given each other gifts which were a new laptop for me and a Bike frame for Ben. Ben also got me some homemade jams from a holiday boutique and I got him the game clue which he wasn't so thrilled about, oh well. From John and Ammy we received a Beautiful frame with the Living Christ Message in it. Thank you John and Ammy. Oh by the way, Ammy packed and shipped the frame very well with shredded paper and peanuts. I opened it and thought oh dear how am I going to get the present out without getting the shreds everywhere. We didn't do too bad but we still had to vacuum afterwards.

We then went over to my parents where we opened gifts there.
Damien opening an erector set, that Mike has been building more than Damien as it is quite advanced.

This picture is of Jesse's Pocket. Look at it brimming full of Hot Wheels!

The Fire Truck

Fire trucks on the Kitchen floor.

We had Christmas breakfast there which I thought was quite delicious and maybe we can try again. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas too. I will type at you all later.
