Right Now 18

* We are Moving. Ben found a house that was for rent while he was out working and we called and talked with the owners and found out that it would work for us and them. It has been a about 6 weeks that we have been waiting to get the final notice to start packing but that has worked out for us too. The house is bigger and in a nicer neighborhood, and much more upgraded than what we were in. The next month is going to be crazy busy and it doesn't look like it will be slowing down ever again!

* We started going to the play group for Mark and it is on Wed and Fri for an hour and a half. This goes along with the speech therapy that he should be getting evaluated on hopefully this week. I like it and it is going to be fun for us to do. Katelynn has fun with it and I think it will be a nice stepping stone to preschool that she is starting in the fall.

* I went through all of the kids clothes and organized them in sizes from 6 months to 7. I also sorted the likes and dislikes. I gave away six garbage bags of clothes that I didn't like. I love that the clothes are all organized.

* While going through the clothes I found some Elmo pj's that Katelynn wore for her 2nd Christmas and so I had to put them on Mark. He is almost too big for them but he does like them.

* It has been too hot too soon, we have pulled out the water stuff and they have had fun with that. No pool this year. That is just too much.

* We went to the Rodeo Parade and the Kids did well and we ll enjoyed it. It does help when cousins are there to entertain you too and if Grandma and Grandpa save the seats so we didn't have to be there early.

* I got in contact with the school that Mark will be going to for speech therapy. It is a local elementary school and we will meet twice a week for an hour and a half either T/TH or W/F. They need to assign us a teacher and they we will know what date and time. I have be there with him which is what I wanted and the nice thing is that Katelynn can come too. I am very grateful for that since I didn't want to find a sitter for her. So, that will be filling my mornings pretty soon. Hopefully we will find out this week what the schedule is.

*Katelynn was suppose to be playing a game on my phone but when I downloaded my pics for the week I found 48 self portraits. Here are a few of my favorites. At least her nose was clean!

* Gotta have a Marky Picture!

* We got Katelynn her scooter about 6 weeks ago now and she is doing pretty awesome at riding it. and Mark is getting better and better at riding his three wheel scooter.

* We asked Katelynn who her best friend was and she said, "Jesus Christ, I love him!" Completely surprised   me with that answer, but it is a perfect one

Right Now 16

* Mark had his speech/development evaluation this week and it went better than I was hoping for. Pretty much it was an hour long evaluation of how he was developing. I was asked all sorts of questions from does he like to rough house, can he take off his socks, if I ask him to pick up or get a certain object will he do it. There was a counselor, a doctor and a speech therapist in the room playing with him and checking out all the things that he could or could not do.

In the end they told me that he was tracking in all areas between 17-24 months except for speech where he was at 12 months. There are no markers for Autism either. So, he qualifies for some help for his speech. We should get a call within the week to see what will happen next. I thought the whole process was very reassuring of how he was doing, and it was really nice to know how well he was developing according to the common milestones.

* I was making our bed and Mark was in it and laid on the pillows, closed his eyes and pretended to sleep making blowing noises.

* Katelynn came into our room in the middle of the night. I got her back in her room and asked her why she was awake and she said a witch scared her. I hate her having bad dreams. I know I didn't like them growing up, I hope she doesn't have them too often.

* Family came this weekend and I was lucky enough to get off work a few hours early so I could visit.

* A friend of ours asked Katelynn about Disneyland and if she had a good time and all she could remember was the balloon that she got!

* Katelynn's quilt is finished. I am very surprised that it is done, but I guess I was in my "mission mode" as Ben would call it, to get it done.

* Katelynn is a very friendly girl. She loves to say hello to everyone on our walks and she will give hugs to random strangers. I have to be careful with her.

* I love to watch Mark running. He is such a cutie patootie.

* Mark loves to play with his name and has pretty much mastered it. He will do it over and over again until something else peaks his interest.

* Katelynn and Mark got another cold this week and passed it on to Ben and I. So, we spent this weekend trying to get better.

* We went to the Library on Friday to return our books and we were 3 minutes early. I felt like the old Mervyn's add "Open, Open, Open"

* We went to the red park with the Swann's and fed the ducks, after wards Tara read a sign that said "Don't feed the wildlife or they may Become dependent on the hand outs" whoops. Love the picture of them in height order. Porter was playing with some grass and dirt just out of picture range.
