Appointment and a Layout

Today we went for Katelynn's 1 year check up and everything went just fine she got two shots and she is doing well. She weighs 23lbs and 10 ounces and is 32.5 inches tall. Which puts her in the 80th percentile for weight in >97% for height. I am really amazed at how tall she is. She can reach off the kitchen counter and pulls so much off the table just by standing on her tip toes.

Here is a Layout that I did for a challenge on the Shabby Princess blog. You get a template and a quickpage and a chance to get a $25 gift card to her shoppe.

inter-National Scrapbooking Weekend

So this past Saturday was inter-National Scrapbooking weekend. Which in turn means that alot of shops that I get my supplies from have sales and freebies all around. I went to my Favorite Shoppe The Sweet Shoppe and picked up a few things. My Favorite kit that I bought this weekend was Sweet as Sugar by Melissa Bennett and Stolen Moments.

I can't wait to use it. I know that it is such a girly kit but since I have Katelynn it will come into great use.

Guess what I even was able to scrap a page. I was feeling nostalgic since her birthday is Saturday and so I went back and found a pic from her first week.

I Scrapbooked!!

I am so excited to say that I finally scrapbooked a page. I am thinking about getting back into Sweet Shoppe's challenges again so we shall see. I am just excited that I actually did it here's a preview for you.

Journaling Reads:
Max and Jesse’s 4th Birthday party on December
19th, 2009. This was Katelynn’s first Birthday
party and she had a great time. The boys were
happy with all of their presents and were still
talking about their trip to Disneyland on their
Birthday. We gave Max and Jesse Transformer
Hot Wheel cars that they were fighting over
before we had left their party.

Have a great weekend and I hope to get another page done too.

Page 1 and 2

I have finished 2 pages of Katelynn's book. I hope to get some more done today.

I have to decide if I want to use all the same kit or use others. I will probably use others as using the same one after a few pages will drive me crazy. I hope you all are doing well. Type at you all later.

I'm Tired

I had four wonderful days off, worked Monday and then had these three days off where someone put this wild hair up my butt to clean the house. Remember I did this about 6 months ago. This time I added a new highlight.

In my family we call it Bisselling, since that is the name of the machine, but it is just carpet cleaning. We have been here almost two years so I thought that it was probably time. And it was. I guess it is a good thing that we have brown carpet because I really wouldn't have wanted to see all that dirt. I probably would have done this sooner if I did know it was so dirty. Anyways, three days of laboriously cleaning this house from top to bottom, I am tired and I have to work the next two days. Maybe that will give me a break! I know of some moms at work like to go to work because it is a break for them. I really don't know what else to talk about. I really haven't done much this week besides clean and sleep.

Last night was mutual, I am in charge of the Mia Maids. I usually just teach on Sundays and go to the Mid Week activity whenever I am not working. We have had a few activities here, a slumber party, BBQ, and I taught them about Digital Scrapbooking. One of the leaders told me last night that she went out and bought a program and did a page. I was so excited! I love converting people! If you have any questions Michelle just ask. Anyways back to last night's mutual. It was a combined activity (Young Men and Young Women) and they have this activity yearly called Standards Night. It is a way for the leaders to help the youth be motivated to keep the standards of the church like dating, friends, gospel principles, and keeping the word of wisdom. It was really an awesome night. I think that the youth and the leaders all learned from each other and had a fun and spiritual night. I am so glad that I went, I was so close not to going, I was late because I was going back and forth about going or not. The speakers really did do an awesome job and I hope that they know that all their time and effort they put into last night was worth it. It made me see how strong the youth in the church have to be to keep the commandments and follow what Heavenly Father wants them to do and be. I just worry about how the world will be when my kids are teens. It isn't going to be any better that's for sure. I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend and I will type at you all later.

What ever

Sometimes the hardest part of blogging is coming up with a dag gum title. It is easy when I know what I want to talk about. I guess I will just go through the weekly round up. Monday I was home from work and chilled around the house mainly. I did get a little worried at one moment when the dogs started barking hysterically and I had no clue what was going on. It was the pest guy who comes monthly that they were excited to see (he had arms that could be used to throw their ball). He did throw the ball and it landed in a fresh pile of poo and Bruno didn't care, he picked it up and brought it over to Josh wanting him to throw it again. So, they started barking when he wasn't throwing it because Josh was cleaning up Bruno's muzzle. Gross!

I worked the next two days. I had three babies two of which were twins. When twins get big and aren't needing too much assistance, like IV's we try to co-bed them. So, these two little girls were staying in the same isolette. It was so incredibly CUTE! Whenever I would go in to change their diapers I had to take a moment to OOh and AAh at them. We have them really close in the isollette where they are always touching (and getting tangled there are more arms and legs than anything). They were about 3.5lbs each, with a full head of hair. Changing the diapers was hilarious as when you went to lift the legs more often than not you would get one leg of each of the girls, then you would have to find the leg that you actually wanted. At the end of my shift I put them facing each other and one had her hand under the sisters cheek. It was sssoooo cute, I really could just eat them up!

Yesterday, I had to go into the car dealership because our Sub was stinking!! I took it in a month or so ago for a check up/ oil change and a week or so after that it started stinking like Diesel. It was DISGUSTING. I was hoping that whatever it was might just burn off, no such luck. So, I reluctantly took it in yesterday at 7am I had a book so I was prepared to stay at least until they would check it out and see what the problem was. At 8:30, he said they were all done and it was the Oil Filter and they also noticed a nail in one of the tires and so both things were fixed and they washed the car. Woo Hoo! I was gone by 9 and was able to make it to a meeting at work. Did some shopping in town then came home. It was a really nice day.

Today is yard day. I spent two hours this morning weeding and pruning rose bushes. tonight Ben will mow and edge. Well, I need to work on my lesson my lesson for Sunday so I will type at you all later and leave you with the LO of the week.

Erin, here's what I did with the template you have too.

Randomness

I have been waking up earlier on my days weekdays off so that I can get more done while Ben is at work. Have you ever noticed how much more you can get done when your spouse is away? If I had a list of things to do maybe one thing would get done on that list, but I could get the whole thing done if he was at work. I am reading my scriptures, reading from a pleasure book, having breakfast and then going on a walk/run with the dogs. Cocoa is so easy to walk with, he is always right next to you (unless there is a cat, then I almost get draged away by them). Bruno is horrible, he is always stretching his leash and pulling me everywhere, then he all of a sudden stops right in front of me where I nearly fall over him. I don't know why I do this with them, it would be so much easier if I went alone (this is probably kid training). We all need some exercise so we go. I noticed a few weeks ago that Cocoa's bum is the cutest thing when he is walking, you would think he was a girl the way he sways those hips. It's a roit, Ben thinks I am nuts. The other thing that Cocoa does is sleep on his back. That is definitley a riot. I have to get a pic of that one day. Whenever I notice it he notices me and gets up, it's their super sonic hearing.

Last night I had a Baby Dream. I was due any day but NOTHING was happening, I was doing everything to try and induce labor but it wasn't happening. Then all of a sudden I was in horrendous pain and had a baby coming out. There were some friends from work at my house they helped me deliver (Ben was probably passed out in the back) called the ambulance and I went to the hospital. Thinking about it now, if that happened in real life I might have stayed home. If you have already delivered, why do you need to go to the hospital? Maybe for some records issue, and SSN stuff. What do you guys think? Am I crazy for not wanting to go? Oh well, it was just a dream.

In other baby related stuff have you ever done this before? It is the Chinese necklace pendulum gender predictor. It is supposed to tell how many children you will concieve, so it counts miscarrages. It predicted two girls and a boy for me, the only bad thing about it is it doesn't say WHEN.

Hope everyone has a great Friday. I have to get some things ready for tomorrow. I am ecxited to actually be devoted to scrapping, and I wont have the rig connected to the internet so I can't surf, I can only scrap, that really does help. If I have the internet I will spend so much more time surfing than actually getting anything done. Anyways, I will talk to you all later.

Oh, I almost forgot! Here's my LO of the week.

Here we are

We still haven't heard anything from the owners of the dogs. It is looking more and more like we might be keeping them. I guess that I will be okay with that it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be.

Last night we stayed up until about 1am watching the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice. It was really good, I will probably buy it at some point, I have also been looking for the movie Rigoletto and I finally found it. My grandma sent us some movies when we were younger and this was probably my favorite one that she sent. I just always forget to search for it. Finally, I did it. I know Becca will be excited.

When I was looking at my blogs I visit today one of the sites had a link to scrapbooking free fonts and so I thought that I would share those too. I totally loved them. Kevin and Amanda Fonts for Peas and Free Scrapbook Fonts from Kevin and Amanda. On both of the sites if you scroll down to the end there is a link to download them, all if you like them all.

My Days off are over I have to go to work tomorrow, it is pretty sad. I really have enjoyed being off and keeping things up and running here, but I have to get on the work bandwagon again, yuck. But, don't you worry I am only working two days and then I will be off for another 8 days. Becca and her family is driving from Idaho tomorrow and will be here sometime on Sat.Sunday we are doing dinner at my parents and Monday Sarah O. is taking our family pictures. After that we are heading out to Pismo for the day. I can't wait. My camera is charged and ready to go, don't you all worry about that.

I haven't left you with any LO's for a couple of days so here a couple for ya.
This is when we got our grass put in last April

This is from Jonah's Blessing last May.

I hope everyone is doing well. I will type at you all later.
