Right Now 30

* On a spur of the moment, really I mean 10 minute warning, Jennifer, Matthew and Mason stayed at our house for a couple of nights. It went really well and Katelynn and Matthew had a great time playing together and Mark was just along for the ride with them.

* We went to an indoor Jungle Gym on Monday with them and the kids loved it. I do think I will be taking them there again. It had a climbing gym with ball pit, bounce house, fuse ball table, air hockey table, paint area, dress up clothes with a stage and microphone. It was nice and clean and cool.

*Where's Marky?

* On Tuesday we went to the park and got some more wiggles out.

* We got Mark's Big Boy bed ready for him, I wasn't planning on on putting him in it right away I just wanted it in his room for him to see it and maybe want to lay on it, but we just went for it and put him in it and he has slept fine in it for his nap and bedtime. It is currently on the floor which is fine sine he did roll off it. We switched Katelynn to her bed at 18 months and it just seemed easier and there was no transition anxiety for her.

*Mark and Katelynn were playing out in the back yard with the water again, I went inside and they
ended up making a mud puddle and Mark just sat right down in it and they both got and early bath since Mark was throwing mud clumps.

Right Now 29

* I was folding some laundry in our room on Tuesday and Katelynn was in the bathroom being a little too quite so I went in and checked on her. She had opened a travel size mascara brush and was using it on her eye brows. This was our first, "This is mommy's make-up incident, you are not to use it." No I didn't get a picture.

* Every night when we finish the kids bath Mark gets out first and puts on his hooded towel then tries to pull Katelynn out but Katelynn won't get out until the tub is empty. Once the tub is empty she puts on her hooded towel and then begins the "Laps for Jesus" as Ben calls it. They both streak up and down the house giggling and loving it. They do this fora couple minutes then I wrangle Mark into his room to get him dressed and Katelynn gets her PJ's on.

* Katelynn is now in a twin bed she has been sleeping on the futon ever since she was 18 months but we wanted to use the futon to sit on in the front room.

Right Now 28

* I turned 31 this week. I am not really worried or anxious about the age I am I mainly just think 31? Really? Time is surely flying.

* To celebrate my birthday we took an over night trip to the beach. We stayed in Santa Maria and then headed up to Avila beach on Friday. The weather was perfect that day. It has been a very long time since I have went to the beach on the Central Coast and not needed a sweater and pants to stay warm. We had a very good time and are trying to figure out a time to go back this summer.

* Mark wasn't a fan of the cool water so I held him in the water most of the time but by the end of the day he didn't mind getting his feet in the water.

* On Thursday we went with Mark's preschool class to the fire station. Katelynn and Mark both loved it. They really enjoyed climbing through the engine and getting to spray the hose.

* We are now teaching the CTR 6 class. It is like 13 kids and Ben and I are teaching together because there are so many. This is the first week we taught and it was so bad but I have to try and keep them on track because they can tangent off very quickly. Our lesson was on being a missionary and one of the kids was so surprised that as a Missionary you had to be able to cook and do laundry! Ha!

Right Now 27

* We spent a lot of time with Brynne and Tara this week and Katelynn loved it as did the girls. It started on Tuesday when we took them to the water park. They spent the night and we went swimming at our friends house.

* For the fourth of July we went to the Pancake breakfast and were there for about an hour then it was time to go as we were all sweating like crazy people.

* We had dinner with Uncle Kevin and Aunt Beth and the kiddos then had the show at our house since Mark went to bed. Our neighbors bought every firework known to man so we had the sparklers and pop its and they had everything else.

* Friday I took the girls to Despicable Me 2. It was Katelynn's first movie experience and she did pretty good watching.

* Katelynn is getting really good at swimming. We have taken her floaty off in the pool and she can swim across the short end and jump in and get to the side of the pool. Next year we will probably put them both in lessons.
