Right Now 34

* We took the kids out to the front of the house where they were scootering and biking around and the entire time you could hear this little "woo-hoo!" coming from Mark as he was riding his scooter. It was the flipin' cutest thing ever. I need to get him on video doing that.

* Katelynn started pre-school this week and it will be an adjustment for her. She loves it and can't wait to go back on Tuesday but she needs to keep her hands and feet to herself. She is also having a hard time with transitioning from things. It will just take a little bit of time but she will learn that it is funner to follow the directions. I knew that it wasn't going to be a piece of cake for her since this is her first classroom and very structured environment.

* We made a new pancake recipe today that everyone seemed to enjoy. Especially Ben. and He was the one I worried about the most not liking it since he is so picky when it comes to pancakes, he hates the pancakes at restaurants like Denny's and since they are all air he likes thick dense pancakes. Here it is if you want to try it.

*While we are talking about recipes check this one out for a great seasoning for chicken. We made the whole chicken a couple weeks ago and loved the flavor. Then tonight we put the seasoning on chicken breasts and Ben bar-b-qued them (we just marinaded it for a little over an hour) and it was so amazingly flavorful. We were so very pleasantly surprised with this one, we will be this seasoning for a long time. (I didn't use the white pepper since we don't have it on hand ever.)

Right Now 33

* Mark could really spend every minute of everyday outside. As soon as he wakes up he is at the back door waiting and wanting to go outside. Even if it is 100 plus degrees out he wants outside.

* We had our Swann cousins over to spend the night for the last time before school starts. I think we all had a nice time. We went swimming played some games and of course watched Hotel Transylvania, the girls love to watch that movie when they spend the night.

* The City came over to grandma's house and dug up the side walk that was being lifted up by a tree and we just happened to come over right after they had poured the new side walk so after the workers had left I took Katelynn and Mark outside and traced their hands in the wet cement. That is going to be a fun little treasure in the years to come.

* We had a Birthday dinner for my Dad today, it was a nice little time with everyone.

* Katelynn has been combing my wet hair the past few nights as I read her bed time stories. Tonight we had family here so we got the kids bathed but I didn't have wet hair or my pj's on. Katelynn was very concerned about this and wouldn't let me read her stories until after I took my shower so she could comb my wet hair. Katelynn didn't make it to the end of my shower, she was dead asleep when I peeked in on her. Thanks to the cousins for wearing her out!

* If Marky is upset with something he fold his arms on his chest and say, "Humpfh" Little Stinker.

* We Went to the library and picked up some books and Marky has fallen in love with this book. It is short and sweet and he will make me read it three or more times in a row.

* Marky LOVES "Cars" We have one little McQueen and one Mater hotwheel that Mark loves to play with. If you are wondering what to give Mark for his Birthday or Christmas, "Cars" toys would probably be #1

* At Church today Katelynn and Mark lined up the few cars we brought with us and were so happy just looking at them. Later they were outside playing and lined up their ride on toys for a race.

* Ever since Katelynn was 3-6 months old she has been brushing her eyelashes to relax and fall asleep. When she was six months or so she would rub mine but that didn't last too long thankfully. She climbed into bed one morning with me and started brushing her eyelashes and I snapped this picture.

* Mark has been saying cold and doing an action of rubbing his arms which is really cute but he does it when it is hot stuff too like going out into the garage the other day or when I told him, "That's Hot, don't touch it" to my hair straightener, he said, "Cold" But he also brought his blanket to me and said "Cold"with the action so I could wrap the blanket on him.
