Page 1 and 2

I have finished 2 pages of Katelynn's book. I hope to get some more done today.

I have to decide if I want to use all the same kit or use others. I will probably use others as using the same one after a few pages will drive me crazy. I hope you all are doing well. Type at you all later.

Hey

Saturday morning at 4:30 Ben woke up and went to REI for their used gear sale. Most things there are from 50-90% off. He went to one a few months ago and got a Yakima bike rack for 50 (reg 500). You really can't go into these with a list of what you want, you just go and grab and look when you think you got what you want. This time Ben spent 180 for all sorts of different things but his greatest find was a Yakima roof cargo carrier reg 450 for 10 bucks. One of these but all black:

I guess the nose of it got warped in shipping, but really you can't even tell and it works just fine, Ben was driving home on the freeway and said he didn't hear any "Chatter." I am excited, because I was wondering what will happen when we go camping with Katelynn, our car is already full to the brim without all of her stuff.

Last weekend Ben and I went down to LA for Joshua's Baby blessing. We just did a quick trip, we were gone for about 24 hours but for some reason it felt like we were gone the entire weekend. Saturday night we hung out with Caleb, Heather, Beth, Kevin, Micah and the Very pregnant Jennifer. Sunday morning at 4am Ben got a phone call from Micah, I was closest to the phone but had not idea how to answer it that early in the morning. The only reason he would be calling is it someone died or Jennifer went into labor. Jennifer was in labor. Her water broke at 1am and so Sunday morning Heather Beth and I said we would swing by after the blessing for a few minutes and give her a pep talk and a you can do it (She was very anxious about the delivery). Well, it was 12:30 and the blessing was over and we were waiting for heather to finish up a couple things before we went over. I get a call from Ben saying she had the baby. We were all shocked. So, we get over there about 1 and Micah asked us to stay with her while he went home and got some stuff and took the dogs out. So little Matthew was born on Joshua's blessing day. I didn't have my camera with me so Beth has all the pictures because she was a little bit smarter than I, I had no thought to bring it with me. Matthew was born at 7lbs and 18 inches. We came home that evening and had to go to work the next day.

I have to admit I haven't scrapbooked in weeks. I am dying to do some. I want to start some of the book for Katelynn. So, it is my goal to do some of that this weekend. I have a baby shower on Sat to go to and Church on Sunday so hopefully I can fit that in to my busy schedule.

I had an OB appointment yesterday and everything is going great. We heard the heartbeat for a minute at about 147 beats per minute. The show ended when she faded away and was finished with show and tell. I guess that she thought she cooperated for long enough and decided to check out another part of the womb. She has been getting stronger with her kicking. I was laying in bed this morning not wanting to get up, but she knew I was awake and started punching and kicking me out of bed.

Lastly, I went to Destination Maternity yesterday and found a couple of tops but the really exciting thing was I got a coupon for 25% off at Carter's and Osh Kosh when you spend $25. I can spend $25 very easily. So, when we go to LA in a couple of weeks we will be stopping at the outlets and checking out what they got. Woo-Hoo! I love Carter's. Anyways I hope to be posting some layout's this weekend. So, I will type at you all later.

Challenges are back

At the Sweet Shoppe. So the first blog challenge is to write your goals/resolutions for the year. Mine is to become more spiritually minded. I know the first thing to do to get there is to read my scriptures and pray daily. I also know that by doing this so many other things in my life will benefit even if I am not actively trying to change them. Putting Heavenly Father first in any one's life can and will truly help.

So, three days done, a lifetime to go.

Happy New Year!!

Welcome 2009!!
I hope everyone had a fun and safe night. We went over to Beth and Kevin's for a few hours and rang in New York's New Year!! LOL!! I don't think that any of us were up at midnight! Though at midnight in our neighborhood there was something squealing and some fireworks exploding. The fireworks woke me up at midnight along with, guess what else... THE POWER GOING OUT AGAIN! The horrible thing about this is that we have lived here for two years and I think that the power has went out at leas 15 times. That is truly ridiculous. The power was back by two am though. I know exciting stuff happening here.

We do need a Christmas update though.
Christmas Eve I worked but met up with Ben's family after and opened presents there.
Brynne opening a Disney Bingo Game from Jackson and Eden

Tara, Brynne, and Eden received a purse with different small things in it that I had picked up from Target's 1 dollar spot.

As Caleb and Heather have been remodeling their house Jonah has shown a love for tools, (He can turn on Caleb's table saw, so they have to remember to unplug it when not in use) so everyone got him different tools for Christmas and he loved it!

From Mary and RW each family got a turn crank emergency radio, Kevin turning the crank.

The next morning we got Katelynn's surprise and we had already given each other gifts which were a new laptop for me and a Bike frame for Ben. Ben also got me some homemade jams from a holiday boutique and I got him the game clue which he wasn't so thrilled about, oh well. From John and Ammy we received a Beautiful frame with the Living Christ Message in it. Thank you John and Ammy. Oh by the way, Ammy packed and shipped the frame very well with shredded paper and peanuts. I opened it and thought oh dear how am I going to get the present out without getting the shreds everywhere. We didn't do too bad but we still had to vacuum afterwards.

We then went over to my parents where we opened gifts there.
Damien opening an erector set, that Mike has been building more than Damien as it is quite advanced.

This picture is of Jesse's Pocket. Look at it brimming full of Hot Wheels!

The Fire Truck

Fire trucks on the Kitchen floor.

We had Christmas breakfast there which I thought was quite delicious and maybe we can try again. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas too. I will type at you all later.
